The Temple of Augustus is a Roman building, built during the early ages of the Empire. Its decoration reflects the Late Hellenistic influence. Today you can find on the Forum Square, City Hall, Turist Board and lots of restaurants and bars. ISTRIADUCTION All Year | No Working time | Free Entrance According to the legend, it was built by order of the Austrian count Metternich, who fell in love with a girl from Savudrija and wanted to build a love nest there. The Lighthouse of Savudrija was built in 1818. It is the oldest Lighthouse on Adriatic sea, which is still in use. Total height 36m. Build by arhitect Pietra Nobilea in less then a year. In the vicinity of the lighthouse we can find characteristic boat lifts-grues. This is a resourceful way of lifting boats without safe mooring on wooden constructions with the help of rope and pulley. Once you enter the village you will see in front of you the Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul from the 17th century. Standing on the square, in front of the Parish Church, on your left side you will note the most interesting building in Gologorica. This was the house of De Franceschi family and was built in 1711.On the hilltop going back from main gate, on the left side you will also see the smaller Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary dating back to the Romanesque period. It houses Gothic frescoes made around 1400. Tips: Ticket you need to pay on your way back to Rovinj, on Hotel reception at Red Island. It is an uninhabited island of the archipelago of Rovinj made up of two connected islands -St. Andrew and Maskin. In the 1891st the family Hutterott bought the Red island, turned the monastery into a family mansion and reorganized the Red island into a park that was planted with various plants from all over the world. Currently on the island there are over 180 different species of plants. In this period Red island was a favourite destination of tourists from the Austro-Hungarian empire. Today, on the island of St. Andrew is the residence of the family Hutterott, and on the island of Maskin family mausoleum was erected on the spot where once existed Histrian fort. Fresh mussels tend to be tightly open or closed. If mussels are still open after you tap it they are dead. Throw it away! Tip: It should be eaten on the day of purchase. How to prepare it?....To clean mussels, scrub in plenty of cold water to remove barnacles or sand. Discard any that float to the top. Remove a fibrous clump of hairs that sprouts from the shell - by giving it a sharp tug towards the hinge end of the mussel. Place cleaned mussels in a fresh bowl of cold water until ready to use. Change this water two or three times to remove any salt or sand that the mussels may expel. How to cook it?...it is very easy and simple to cook. Mostly time it is lost on preparation. Before you start to cook you need to get ready following things: tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, wine, brad - crumbs and parsley. Now we are ready to put mussels into big pot and start cooking. ISTRIADUCTION All Year | No Working time | Free Entrance Walking path called „staza 7 slapova“ is a round trail, 13.27km ( aprox. 5h / medium difficulty). It start and end beneath Buzet, at the bridge Mirna near Istarski Vodovod or Istarska Pivovara – Favorit. You can park you car there, armed yourself with food and drinks and take a walk on wild side of river Mirna and Draga. Offical rute : Buzet(Istarski Vodovod/ Istarska Pivovara - Favorit) - Selca - Glistonija - Kuhari - Kotli – Buzet (Istarski Vodovod/ Istarska Pivovara - Favorit). Marked with blue and red colour. Above is offical route, but we did It our way ;) It was not that easy to find the right way if you are not using mobile phone. Even the trail is not marked in this way it is definetly worth seeing it. The most difficult parts of trip are secured by ropes that make it easy to climb. Highest point on the track is 281m. It was sunny day, perfect for walk, at the bridge Mirna we went upstream to the north side of Mirna. After the first kilometer (+/-) you will notice a

It is very close to city center, 5 – 10 min. walking distance. It has seating capacity 8,923 seats. It is named after football player and coach from Pula, Aldo Drosina. Aldo Drosina Stadium is home ground for NK Istra 1961, NK Istra and sometimes a home pitch for friendly matches of Croatian National Football Team. The name of the fan club (home support group) is Demoni Pula (1992.) placed on the North part of the Stadium. If you have a ticket for North side, try to learn one of the fan songs: ”Noći Istarske, zovu me i prate gdje god krenem ja, pjesme daleke još u meni žive ko nekada“. What is interesting that it is multi -use stadium, so you will find fitness, restaurants, bars, shops, and many other interesting things around Stadium.
