Castle Belaj (Bellai) estate contains: Castle(XVI century);Left annex with history of presence there of court, prison and the wine cellar (XIX century); right annex, where the stables and management room of the estate; historical vineyard of 11 hectares, which surrounds the estate.
Excellent benefits of the soil and microclimate of the hill were recognised in the XVII. century when the cultivation of olives and grapevines started. At that time wine production was focused on delivering great wines to Vienna and Bordeaux.
Nowadays Belaj is the only Château in Croatia with a lengthy history and traditions of winemaking. It’s a registered Historical Heritage
Dvorac Belaj winery established in 2011 by Belay family. From that on we produce wine only from the historical Vineyard around the property. First Vintages are produced with the help of Gianfranko Kozlovic and Ivica Matosevic winemaking craftwork. From 2016 production is fully moved into Belaj cellars. Every year Dvorac Belaj wines brings Golden and Silver medals from Decanter and Vinistra wine competitions.

Podrum Belaj winery is established in 1998 by Ivic family. The history of winemaking in the family go back to the start of XX century. Vineyards are located in Boljunsko polje. Every year winery put on the market more than 30 000 liters of top quality wines. Under the brand Podrum Belaj Ivic family is producing grappa and honey.
