After the tour we decided to eat something local and went to the tavern "Pod Voltom". The tavern itself is under the vault before entering the main square where the entrance is located. The tavern has a traditional warm colors with a fireplace and local patterns from Istria. They offer fresh asparagus, truffles and teran from Motovun. We ordered asparagus with "pljukanci" and gnocchi with freshly grated truffles. The warmth of the tavern with Istrian traditional elements and a stone floor with an additional charm of meticulousness and purity brings a special touch. ZEROSTRASSE – UNDERGROUND TUNNELS BELOW CITY OF PULA

This amazing underground tunnels were made during the WW1 to provide a shelter for people in case of air raids. We saw the galleries and passages with the temperature during the whole year varies from 14 to 18°C. They told us that these tunnels, with their 3 to 6 meters wide and approximately 2.5 meters tall passageways, could accommodate about 6000 persons.
