CHEESE EXPERIENCE @ VESNA LOBORIKA

ISTRIADUCTION December | Free Entrance Just a 10 minute drive from Pula city centre and a couple of minutes away from Pula airport  you can taste the prized Istrian cheeses of Vesna Loborika. Once you arrive at the tavern in  Loborika the best you can do is to order the cheese board for starter. Since I’m a pasta lover, for the main course I tried the Vesna’s homemade Ravioli with cheese which were very tasty and cheesy as I expected it to be. My wife ordered local pasta fuži  with truffles which were a nice mixture of cream and truffles. After lunch we headed to the cheese shop next by and bought some of their cheeses and olive oil.  The waiter told us that they have shops in Pula  central market and Veruda market as well. FESTIVAL OF CHEESE AND GOATS IN SVETVINČENAT

ISTRIADUCTION September| Free Entrance Two days festival of cheese and goats in Svetvinčenat with local experience from Istria. In the center of Svetvinčenat, you can taste various cheeses: Goat milk cheese, sheep milk cheese, and cow milk cheese. In front of the castle of Morosini Grimani you can relax, buy and taste the best cheese of the Festival, the Champion of the festival. After cheese tasting, there was a Selection of Miss and Mister Goat. There you can take a photo with friendly goats, feed them and touch them. HOUSE SPECIALTIES IN TAVERN WITH FAMILY TRADITION THAT LASTS IN JADRUHI

ISTRIADUCTION  All Year | Working time: 12:30–21h | Free Entrance We visited tavern which is located in the village Jadruhi at Vižinada. We wanted to eat authentic and traditional dishes, prepared according to traditional recipes, so we made a reservation for Agritourism Jadruhi. First of all, we ate Istrian prosciutto, goat cheese, and delicious ham. After that, they offered us homemade pasta "pljukanci", gnocchi, "maneštra" soup and medium rare beef with truffles we made a decision to try all. After a lunch, we drank a few homemade grappas with different flavors. Tips: Try to order "Supa", this is a specialty that consists of hot wine, usually Teran, which is enriched with olive oil, sugar, salt, pepper and a slice of overdone bread. HOME ATMOSPHERE WITH FINE FOOD IN KONOBA BECCACCIA VALBANDON

ISTRIADUCTION  All Year | Working time: 12-24h | Free Entrance The first impression was: "this tavern is very pleasant", we feel at home. We had a fantastic day with good food and very fine wine. Great service and very nice location. The place is great and relaxing and is great for kids to play outside. The surrounding garden is amazing. A truly authentic tavern serving local dishes. As an appetizer, we had cheese, bacon and Istrian prosciutto. The main course was Ravioli “Alla Beccaccia”, ravioli with cheese and local venison that was very fine and delicious. SWEET MEMORIES –TRADITIONAL GRANDMA RAVIOLI

ISTRIADUCTION Saturday morning jumped out of bed and put on my clothes. Got in my car and raced like I’m driving Formula 1, all the way to Grandma House. Knocked on the door with smile on my face looking at the Grandma place, Paz - Cerovlje. (Remix version of Magic – Rude) Hello, sweet child of mine, come on in and let’s make Ravioli with cheese. I’m going to show you how Grandma does it. Before we start wash your hands, put an apron and let’s get ready to rumble! It is Grandma home so you should know before we start there is going to be a plenty of Ravioli at the end, nobody is going home hungry. First we need to make Ravioli dough. Place flour mixture on a board (1kg.), making a well in the center of the flour. Beat the eggs (2 eggs) slightly and drop it into the flour well. Combine the eggs and flour together, adding enough water to make dough. Water should be lukewarm (not too cold and not too warm).Knead dough well, until it gets smooth. Cover the dough, so that cannot run away and start grinding cheese. Work
