ISTRIADUCTION In April | Weekend | Pay per Entrance Motovun PhotoHill is a weekend photography festival held in April in Motovun. Designed for photo enthusiasts, amateur and professional photographers, members of photo clubs or simply photography enthusiasts, this festival offers participants a range of interesting photography content, from lectures and workshops through photo exhibitions and exhibitions of the latest photographic equipment to Photo Quiz, Photo Quest, small photo school for kids, Photo Booth and more. The main goal is to connect together like-minded people and to learn and popularize photography. The relaxed atmosphere of this event is also derived from its motto: "The Hill of Good Photos". The event is organized by the Photographers Association Fotovun in cooperation with the Motovun Municipality and the Motovun Tourist Board. THE TRAIL OF 7 WATERFALLS

ISTRIADUCTION All Year | No working time | Free Entrance The Seven Waterfalls Trail will show all of Istria’s mystic beauty in all seasons: its greenery and rich vegetation will leave you breathless during the summer, whilst in the autumn rainfall fills the river and creates an engulfing babble of water, breaking over the rocks. In the wintertime frozen water droplets create an unusual perspective, and the first rays of the sun lure seasonal messengers and the first animals to the light in springtime. The circular trail that starts and ends in Buzet (close to the Istrian water supply system). The trail is 14 km long and will take you around 5 hours to cross it. Difficulty is medium. PURE NATURE IN THE CITY OF PULA – PARK FOREST ŠIJANA

Surely you won’t regret it. Only two kilometers from the very center of the city you will find heaven for your body and soul. The narrow winding labyrinth-like paths at every curve reveal surprises, a small animal or a beautiful specimen of forest flora. Through the tall tree tops the sunrays shyly protruding just to enable you to see where a certain path leads. It is equally nice here in spring when the soil is covered with fragrant carpets of cyclamen and in autumn when under the fallen leaves you can discern caps of many species of mushrooms. RAILWAY STATION – PULA

ISTRIADUCTION  All Year | Working time: as per schedule | Ticket Railway station Pula build in 1876 was under the authority of Austria, Italy and Slovenia until 1991. when they are under the Croatia Railway. It was connected with local shipyard Uljanik in 1878., 1,3 km of railway. The traffic was significantly increase and in 1884. it was transported over 34t of cargo. Railway was very good connected with Trieste and Vienna. There was also a „green train“ to Slovenia. In 1904. Pula Railway Station was connected with city center with tram. Traditional festival of the snail is place where you can taste various snail specialties. Due to the highly prized meat snails dishes are considered a delicacy. Snails are prepared according to traditional recipes. During the day you have in the city a lot of things from photo exhibitions, different performance, race on ball bearing vehicle, bike tour, music, etc... One of traditional main event is as local call it “zamašćeni stup” , definitely have to see it. There is a lottery at end of the day (around 23:00 +/-), wait and see how lucky you are. AUGUSTUS TEMPLE AND THE FORUM SQUARE IN PULA

The Temple of Augustus is a Roman building, built during the early ages of the Empire. Its decoration reflects the Late Hellenistic influence. LIGHTHOUSE SAVUDRIJA BUILT IN 1818 AND STILL TWINKLE

ISTRIADUCTION  All Year | No Working time | Free Entrance According to the legend, it was built by order of the Austrian count Metternich, who fell in love with a girl from Savudrija and wanted to build a love nest there. The Lighthouse of Savudrija was built in 1818. It is the oldest Lighthouse on Adriatic sea, which is still in use. Total height 36m. Build by arhitect Pietra Nobilea in less then a year. In the vicinity of the lighthouse we can find characteristic boat lifts-grues. This is a resourceful way of lifting boats without safe mooring on wooden constructions with the help of rope and pulley. Charactericst of Savudrija is also a wooden boat with a flat bottom called batana, intended for individual coastal fishing, rowed in a standing position. ZAMBRATIJA – ZAMBRATTIA

ISTRIADUCTION All Year | No Working time | Free Entrance I fondali dell`odierna baia di Zambrattia sono un vero e proprio tesori archeologico. Tutti i reperti archeologici rinvenuti in mare, per effetto di mutamenti naturali avvenuti negli ultimi millenni ( innalzamento del livello del mare – trasgressione marina), in orgine si trovavano su terraferma oppure lungo la costa.I resti di un`imbarcazione protostorica sono stati rivenutti alla profondità di 2,20m sotto il mare. Si tratta di una nave con il fasciame dello scafo formato da assi di olmo tenute insieme da corde fatte passare attraverso i fori praticati sui bordi della tavole. La lunghezza conservata dello mediante radiocarbonio fa risalire l`imbarcazione protostorica di Zambrattia alla fine dell`età del bronzo. Conferendole di titolo della nave più antica di questo genere rinvenuta nell`Adriatico.
