PUČ – SOURCE OF WATER IN VOŠTENI

ISTRIADUCTION March | Free Entrance Puč - the water source in Vošteni is a wonderful place located in nature in Vošteni. After a good meal in the tavern, it is necessary to take a short walk in nature. It is a 10-minute walk from the tavern along the road itself. The source was created with stone blocks and is located more than ten meters below the surface of the earth. It is interesting that the water accumulates in stone basins, and it is said that the water comes out all the way to the Lim channel. WALKING TRAIL PUNTERA – BLAZ NEAR BARBAN

ISTRIADUCTION December | Free Entrance From Puntera to the Raša valley The new Barban walking trail starts at Puntera. It moves downhill on a white winding road all the way to the Raša valley. Along the trail, there are plaques with interesting facts about the area. As well as the fact that the Raški kanal is 12 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide. And views of the bay and fields are inevitable for a photo keepsake. These are the only fields in Istria below sea level, drained during the rule of Italy, in the late twenties of last century, and between the war they fed the population. If you want, you can continue your journey to Blaz, where we will find several choices. A short stream used to drive a mill, and today only stone remains remain. ABYSS WATERFALL BUTORI NEAR GROŽNJAN

As soon as you leave your car, a few meters walk and it brings you to a picturesque and poetic place. You will see a small picturesque waterfall, an abyss and a lake that has a beautiful color even in winter (this shows how clean and untouched the place is). Of course, in this place there are smaller abysses and an old abandoned mill and a canal through which water comes and flows into a beautiful waterfall of 10 m. If you are looking for a quiet and safe place this is definitely a destination you must visit. The waterfall is fenced with a safe fence so you can take the kids on a day trip, and if you go alone and are an adventurer then at your own risk you cross the fence and take the best shots of this picturesque waterfall. STONE HOUSE IN STANCIJA 1904 NEAR SVETVINČENAT

ISTRIADUCTION In May | Weekend | Free Entrance Welcome! A stone house was built in 1904 by the family Modrušan, in the village of Smoljanci near the renaissance town of Svetvinčenat. Two Modrušan brothers had many family members. Everybody was working hard and was taking care of the domestic animals, as pigs and goats. Also built in 1904, is the private residence and šterna (water tank), that represents a prime example of traditional Istrian architecture. In the past, the local villagers went to take water from the water tank. The water tank was at the time a precious good that only rich families could afford. We (family Moll) bought and renovated the stone house in 1999 till 2003. Stancija 1904, located in the idyllic village of Smoljanci is located in the heart of Istria. The word “Stancija” means newly-renovated and fully-equipped traditional Istrian accommodation surrounded by untouched nature. The Istrian tradition is not only seen in the architecture but also in our authentic Istrian cuisine. The typical Istrian menu  features home-made herb bread baked in a bread-oven, handmade pasta with truffles, asparagus, mushrooms and various meat sauces, maneštra, Istrian soup and traditional desserts thematically

BIKE TRAIL “STARA FERATA” IN MOTOVUN

ISTRIADUCTION In May | Weekend | Free Entrance The "Stara Ferata" bike trail starts and ends at the foot of Motovun, a picturesque medieval town in the heart of the Istrian peninsula, and 21.3 km long leads you along the beautiful Parenzana route from Motovun to Vižinada, the green valley of the river Mirna and fairytale vineyards of Motovun. It was named after Parenzana, a former narrow-gauge railway (in operation from 1902 to 1935), and today a favorite cycling and hiking trail in Istria. The trail is moderately difficult (yellow mark) due to several ascents from the Mirna valley towards Brkač, while the rest of the trail is easy. You drive almost entirely on macadam (18.3 km), while the asphalt is only 3 km. It is not entirely marked with characters, so follow the GPX trail and instructions at: https://bit.ly/3cXnGiP. BLAZ BAY IN REBIĆI NEAR BARBAN

ISTRIADUCTION  All Year | No Working time | Entry Free Blaz was  during Roman Empire important route connecting Pula with Rijeka. There was also ferry to Trget, but unfortunately no remain could be found. In Blaz there where many mills who are build with sea level, which is really rear to see. Remaining's of mills you can see today. Blaz was also known for water source.  People from around villages come to Blaz for water. Nowadays, Blaz is uninhabited, but know to nature lovers.
