BIKE TRAIL “STARA FERATA” IN MOTOVUN
ISTRIADUCTION In May | Weekend | Free Entrance The "Stara Ferata" bike trail starts and ends at the foot of Motovun, a picturesque medieval town in the heart of the Istrian peninsula, and 21.3 km long leads you along the beautiful Parenzana route from Motovun to Vižinada, the green valley of the river Mirna and fairytale vineyards of Motovun. It was named after Parenzana, a former narrow-gauge railway (in operation from 1902 to 1935), and today a favorite cycling and hiking trail in Istria. The trail is moderately difficult (yellow mark) due to several ascents from the Mirna valley towards Brkač, while the rest of the trail is easy. You drive almost entirely on macadam (18.3 km), while the asphalt is only 3 km. It is not entirely marked with characters, so follow the GPX trail and instructions at: https://bit.ly/3cXnGiP. Take advantage of the beautiful spring weather to visit Motovun and ride through the green landscapes overlooking Motovun ?
