HOUSEWIVES FROM ŽMINJ MAKE SWEET PINCA UNDER THE LID

ISTRIADUCTION In April| Working Time: 11-20h | Free Entrance In small village Paladnjaki in April you can find how hardworking house wives from Žminj baked pinca under the baking lid. Pinca is a delicious sweet bread baked for Easter traditional gathering and served to celebrate the end of Lent. This event has special bond between gastro and traditional culture of Istria. When you arrived in village you need to found agroturisam “Paladnjaki” this is a nice traditional tavern with a big yard. In yard with a pool people are having fun, drinking wine and eating pinca. When you enter tavern, housewife will show you how the pinca was once kneaded and baked by the fireplace. They will explain how to make a pinca and they will share their recipes with you. In one moment group of dancers has entered on event and made the beautiful atmosphere with singing and dancing with their traditional dance”Balun”.
